This Return Policy applies to standard, in-stock catalog products purchased as consumer or standard retail orders through https://www.bitworks.io. Any product sold by Bitworks via other marketplaces is subject to the return policies of that marketplace.
A “Business/Commercial Order” means any purchase by a customer acting in a business, commercial, or governmental capacity, and any purchase of configured, build-to-order, special-order, or enterprise hardware, in each case regardless of the channel through which the order is placed (including orders placed through the website store).
Business/Commercial Orders are governed by the Supplemental Terms for Quoted and Enterprise Orders (the “B2B Supplement”). Configured, build-to-order, special-order, and enterprise hardware is Non-Cancellable and Non-Refundable (NCNR) once an order is accepted and is not eligible for return, refund, or exchange under this Return Policy. Where this Return Policy conflicts with the B2B Supplement, the B2B Supplement controls for Business/Commercial Orders.
The remainder of this Return Policy applies to standard retail orders that are not Business/Commercial Orders (“Website Orders”).
The “Convenience/Processing fee” charged for some payment types is non-refundable on customer-requested cancellations, refunds before shipping, and returns; Bitworks does not receive a refund of those fees from the payment processor. If Bitworks cancels an order for any reason other than suspected fraud, an unauthorized, failed, or reversed payment, or a breach of our Terms and Conditions, the Convenience/Processing fee will be refunded along with all other amounts charged for the affected items.
You may request cancellation of a Website Order that has not yet shipped from the Order Details page of your account or by emailing [email protected] with your order number. If the order has not shipped when we process the request, we will cancel it and refund the amount paid, less the non-refundable Convenience/Processing fee where one was charged. No restocking fee applies to an order cancelled before shipment.
If the order has already shipped, or the shipment can no longer be intercepted, the cancellation request will instead be handled as a return under this Return Policy, including its return-shipping and restocking-fee provisions.
Where Bitworks cancels an order before shipment — for example, for stock unavailability, a pricing error, or trade-compliance screening — for any reason other than suspected fraud, an unauthorized, failed, or reversed payment, or a breach of our Terms and Conditions, Bitworks will refund the full amount charged, including any Convenience/Processing fee.
Risk of loss for Website Orders passes to the customer when the shipment is delivered to the carrier, and optional shipping insurance, where offered, can be purchased at checkout, as described in the Shipping, Title, and Risk of Loss section of our Terms and Conditions.
Any shipment received with visible damage must be reported to us within two (2) calendar days of the delivery date. Please email [email protected] with the order details and photos of the damage, and retain the product and all packaging until the claim is resolved. If the shipment was insured through Bitworks, the claim will be resolved by replacement or refund up to the coverage amount. If the shipment was not insured, Bitworks will file a claim with the carrier and pass through any amount the carrier pays, but is not otherwise responsible for damage in transit.
If tracking shows a shipment lost or stalled, or the shipment has not arrived within seven (7) calendar days after the carrier’s last estimated delivery date, contact [email protected] so we can start a carrier trace or insurance claim. Insured shipments will be replaced or refunded up to the coverage amount once the claim is confirmed. For uninsured shipments, Bitworks will pass through any amount recovered from the carrier but is not otherwise responsible for shipments lost in transit. A carrier’s confirmation of delivery to the shipping address constitutes delivery.
This section applies to Website Orders; for Business/Commercial Orders, risk of loss in transit and any related shipping insurance are governed by the Title and Risk of Loss section of the B2B Supplement.
If a shipment is returned to Bitworks as undeliverable — for example, because delivery was refused, the shipment went unclaimed, import duties, taxes, or customs or brokerage fees were not paid, or the address provided at checkout was incorrect or inaccessible — Bitworks will, after receiving and inspecting the returned products, refund the product price minus the applicable restocking fee (up to 15%), the original outbound shipping charges, and any return transportation charges, storage charges, duties, taxes, or other fees imposed on Bitworks in connection with the undeliverable shipment. The Convenience/Processing fee remains non-refundable as described above.
For international shipments, import duties, taxes, and customs or brokerage fees are not included in the order total, are not collected by Bitworks, and are the customer’s responsibility; international orders require an acknowledgment of these charges at checkout. Refusal to pay these charges does not convert an order into a seller-faulted return. If an undeliverable shipment is not returned to Bitworks — for example, because it is abandoned, seized, or disposed of by the carrier or a customs authority — no refund is due for that shipment.
All returns must include the following or the return will be rejected and returned to you at your cost:
All requests for refund or replacement may be submitted via the Bitworks Return Request in the Order Details, with a valid return reason selected, within thirty (30) calendar days from the invoice date. Valid RMA numbers will be provided by Bitworks.
In the event an item is sold without a shipping charge, Bitworks will refund the amount of the sale after the product is returned. Loss or damage occurring in transit is handled under the Loss or Damage in Transit section above.
For products eligible for return or replacement, the customer must ship the return using a carrier with reliable tracking (e.g., UPS or FedEx). Bitworks is not liable for products lost in transit; insurance is recommended but is the customer’s decision.
Bitworks does not charge a restocking fee within the return policy period for returns of products that arrive defective or dead-on-arrival, products damaged before shipment, products where the wrong item was sent, or products that did not match what was shown on the website (“seller-faulted returns”). Loss or damage occurring in transit is not a seller-faulted return and is handled under the Loss or Damage in Transit section above.
For seller-faulted returns, Bitworks will provide a prepaid return shipping label or, where a prepaid label cannot be issued, reimburse reasonable return shipping by a standard tracked ground service. If a seller-faulted return is refunded rather than replaced, Bitworks will also refund the original outbound shipping charges paid on the order.
Where a product is returned for a buyer-faulted reason (e.g., no longer needed, changed mind), the return is subject to a restocking fee of up to 15%; an attempted reseal of the box does not count as unopened product. For all buyer-faulted returns, whether opened or unopened, the original outbound shipping charges paid on the order are non-refundable and the customer pays return shipping. For a new and unopened product returned in original condition, a full refund of the product price will be provided, with no restocking fee, minus the original outbound shipping charges.
Where a returned product is found, after inspection, not to be the original product sent or not to match the product listing, the product will be returned to the customer at the customer’s cost, and any return shipping cost initially covered by Bitworks (for example, a prepaid label issued for a claimed seller-faulted return) will instead be deducted from the refund along with any applicable fees.
Software, licenses, warranties and service contracts, and electronic deliveries are non-returnable due to manufacturer restrictions, except where required by law.
| Item Type | Warranty | Refund Within | Replacement Within | Restocking Fee |
| New | Manufacturer warranty (OEM pass-through) | 30 days | 30 days | Up to 15% |

| Configured / Build-to-Order / Enterprise Hardware | Per B2B Supplement (OEM pass-through) | NCNR — not eligible | NCNR — not eligible | N/A |
The restocking fees and return windows in the table above apply to Website Orders. Restocking fees are waived for seller-faulted returns (damaged, defective, wrong item sent, or not as described) as provided above. Configured, build-to-order, and enterprise hardware, and other Business/Commercial Orders, are governed by the B2B Supplement and are NCNR as described above.
